Lockheed martin - INTEGRATED FIGHTER GROUP

Global security and aerospace company - Fort Worth, Texas
Aug 2022 - Sep 2023
Technical Illustrator - IFG

I play a role in the Integrated Fighter Group at Lockheed Martin supporting the F-22 and F-16 projects in the capacity of a technical illustrator. The end products that I contribute to are technical publications used to aid and support these 2 fighters. By interpreting 2D engineering schematics, utilizing 3D models, and putting myself in the position of the maintainer on the flight line, I am able to create graphics that assist the maintainer on the ground to help get our fighters back in the air as quickly as possible.

The work produce requires an incredibly high level of attention to detail. To achieve our product, I use AutoTrol, IsoDraw, and Adobe Illustrator as well as communicate with other departments. I routinely work under tight deadlines while working complex and technical graphics and simultaneously problem solving on the fly. I am both a visual and technical problem solver.

United states Marine Corps

Military - 29 Palms, California
Feb 2012 - Feb 2017
Electro Optics Ordnance Repairer (MOS 2171)
1st Tank Battalion

I was stationed with 1st Tank Battalion while serving in the United States Marine Corps. I worked in the capacity of an optics tech in the battalion armory.
During my time I had many roles and responsibilities. Duties are listed in most recent to oldest.

  1. Battalion Armory Maintenance Chief - my duties with this role was to ensure that all the preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance was being conducted in the most efficient way possible. I oversaw the maintenance of A, B, C, and D Companies as well as Tows & Scouts and Headquarters & Support Companies. I would conduct weekly inspections with each company Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of their respective company cages to ensure Marine Corps and Division Orders were being adhered to and provide corrective guidance where needed. I ensured all weapons were properly inspected by the Quality Control NCO for every field operation the battalion conducted.

  2. Headquarters & Support Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge - in this role I oversaw the largest company cage in 1st Tanks. I would oversee the training of Marines new to the fleet and ensure they were confident and capable of being pushed out to line-companies at the proper time. I oversaw the maintenance of the weapons and optics of the company as well as the issuing, de-issuing, and cleaning of all H&S weapons both personal and crew-serves.

  3. A Company Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge - I oversaw the cleaning, issuing and de-issuing of all sensitive items for the company. I coordinated at a battalion level to ensure that all of my weapons slotted for field operations were inspected by the Battalion QC and passed.

  4. Commissioned Officer - as a NCO my duties were to conduct myself in such a way to be beyond reproach and set an example for younger Marines to follow. Most importantly, we were charged with having a constant finger on the pulse of morale and the mental well being of Marines. What might work for getting through to one Marine might cause another Marine to mentally shut down. Knowing our Marines well allowed us to be a more effective operating machine.

  5. Electro Optics Ordnance Repairer (2171) - Ordnance technicians in 1st Tank Battalion worked on a variety of gear to include the PVS-14 night-vision goggles, Pas-28, V2 and V3 thermals, and the M41A4 Saber missile launcher.

  6. Physical Security - every Marine stationed within an armory was charged with absolute flawless execution of constant physical security and gear accountability. Each Marine is required to pass a background check to be granted Secret Clearance to operate inside the armory. Additionally, it was every Marines responsibility to know every Marine Corps Order, Division Order and Battalion SOP that pertained to the armory.
