Problem to Solve
Give a symbol for a business local to Arlington, Texas. I chose to do local coffee shop, Inclusion Coffee.
Creative SOLUTION
I conducted visual research at Inclusion Coffee and came up with individual symbols I felt like represented Inclusion Coffee. Having large Edison type lightbulbs hanging from the industrial ceiling I decided to start with that imagery as a foundation and build off it. After finalizing a symbol for the coffee shop I carried it slightly forward into a proper logo.
By breaking up the physical identity and the mission statement of Inclusion Coffee into identifiable symbols I was able to combine the smaller symbols into a unique and engaging brand logo for my favorite coffee shop.
